About LOFF
LOFF is a Lighting Design and Architecture Office, founded in 2009 by Cláudia Costa, with the intent to create a dynamic approach to architecture by combining it with Light, a fundamental element for creation, as well as of human well-being. The ultimate goal is to show the clients that by demanding quality, one can aspire to better spaces, better light, and better life.
At LOFF we understand that professionalism, dynamics, creativity, and performing well at the job, are the basis for a solid business. Thus we promote an interdisciplinarity that by being combined with different creation methods is reflected in a project, from design to construction.
LOFF wish to explore a constant and creative way to exchange knowledge and experiences between many different subjects.
LOFF aspires to be a Lighting Design and Architecture Office with a global approach, taking advantage of its privileged situation regarding contacts and partnerships, and at the same time, making the client satisfaction a priority, by investing in rigor and quality as fundamental values for success.
About Claudia
Claudia Costa was born in Braga, Portugal, in 1980.
Finished her architectural studies in the Universidade Lusiada of Oporto in 2003, also attended the IV International Architecture Seminar in Lisbon, Universidade Autónoma de Lisboa, in August (of the same year), and was part of the team of the Swiss architect Marcel Meilli.
Claudia Costa participated in a Marketing Seminar, and several Enterprise and Business Plan Workshops between 2005-2009.
She continued her education with a Masters in Lighting Design in 2008, in the Universidad Politecnica of Madrid.
Claudia collaborated in different architecture studios in Oporto like Guedes + DeCampos Architects. Most recently she worked with Arch. Eduardo Leira and Arch. Susan Jelen in I3 Consultores, Madrid ( 2007 to 2009). In 2005 she received the third place and second Honorable Mention, in the Public Ideas Competition of the "Mercado Municipal 1 de Maio e Parque Catarina Eufémia " in the city of Barreiro, Portugal; in partnership with the arch. Pedro Jordao. In 2008 she was invited as a Lighting Consultant of NPS-Arquitectos, to the anniversary party of the "Ordem dos Arquitectos"(Oqupas) of northern region of Portugal. In 2009 she follow up, has an intern of the technic light team of the S. João Theatre, in Oporto in the play: “ Breve Sumário da História de Deus” from Nuno Carinhas, and light design from Nuno Meira.
In 2009 Claudia Costa creates LOFF, Architectural and Lighting Design Studio.
Now days she is developing several projects and has been writing articles to several magazines and newspaper.
